The story of Chouka
As an engineer passionate about paragliding and the mountains, I wanted to create a light, simple, and reliable variometer. It all started with a first handmade prototype, housed in a Tic Tac box and humorously nicknamed the “vario tictac”. Through successive improvements and test flights, this first prototype evolved to become the Chouka variometer.
🇫🇷 Our products are carefully made in the French Alps, in Grenoble.

Works well…
small smart variometer cool design it works as it should
used for couple flights, minimal and functional; must say I had it on the back of my helmet and it wasn’t loud enough to be used with the radio on. Will try place it on my chest next time. Not a big problem for me but the plastic quality is a bit “home made 3d printed”, in fact it shipped slightly bent on one corner
The sensitivity is good, it is lightweight and I like the design. Very satisfied!
Simple but very effective. I like the design!
light, small, easy to used
