The story of Chouka

As an engineer passionate about paragliding and the mountains, I wanted to create a light, simple, and reliable variometer. It all started with a first handmade prototype, housed in a Tic Tac box and humorously nicknamed the “vario tictac”. Through successive improvements and test flights, this first prototype evolved to become the Chouka variometer.

🇫🇷 Our products are carefully made in the French Alps, in Grenoble.

  1. Works well…

  2. small smart variometer cool design it works as it should

  3. used for couple flights, minimal and functional; must say I had it on the back of my helmet and it wasn’t loud enough to be used with the radio on. Will try place it on my chest next time. Not a big problem for me but the plastic quality is a bit “home made 3d printed”, in fact it shipped slightly bent on one corner

  4. The sensitivity is good, it is lightweight and I like the design. Very satisfied!

  5. Simple but very effective. I like the design!

  6. light, small, easy to used
