Description
Designed for outdoor sports:
- Climbing, mountaineering, mountain use: allows you to quickly cut a cord, a sling, or a rope for various purposes:
- Replacing the cord of a belay anchor.
- Setting up an Abalakov anchor on an icefall.
- Escaping from a route.
- Recovering a rope stuck beyond reach.
- Making a Machard or Prusik knot.

- Paragliding: useful for freeing yourself in case of tangled lines (tree landing, unwanted anchor point, tricky situation). Keep it in the harness or in an easily accessible pocket.

Efficient and safe
- Extremely sharp blade:
- Cuts a climbing rope or a bundle of paraglider lines in 1–2 moves.
- Easily replaceable when worn.
- Secure lock: the blade locks in both open and closed positions.
- Replaceable blade when worn.
- Usable with gloves (paragliding, mountaineering).
Carrying and attachment
Easily attaches to a harness, backpack, zipper, or keychain using:
- The optional carabiner (3 g).
- A key ring (can then be attached to a climbing carabiner).
- A piece of cord or line that you can adjust to your preferred length.

Restrictions
- This knife is not designed for sawing wood or cutting hard materials: it is too flexible for that.
- Handle with care — very sharp blade. Keep out of reach of children.
- The optional carabiner provided is not suitable for climbing or mountaineering but only for attaching accessories.
Blade lock
Locking / unlocking — closed
For the opening, slightly bend the blade in the direction of the arrow so it passes beside the latch, then unfold the blade.
For the closing, the blade locks itself behind the latch when you fold the knife.
Locking / unlocking — open
Once fully unfolded, slide the blade in the direction of the arrows to lock or unlock it in the open position.
Blade replacement
The blade of the Chouka knife can be replaced easily in about 2 minutes :
- Unscrew and remove the screw (Torx 2.5 mm driver).
- Insert the new blade (with its adapter supplied) into the handle and fit the screw. Do not overtighten the screw so the knife can pivot correctly.
- Check that the knife works correctly (blade locks open and blade locks closed).

Very useful! I like the locking system.
Objet super sympa, j’en ai acheté plusieurs. Mieux que d’autres coupe-suspentes plus lourds qui ne servent que a couper des suspentes. Comme améliorations, je pourrais imaginer avoir plus de matière autour de l’anneau qui risque de casser à la longue. Un petit sac pour le protéger lorsque on le garde en permanence dans une poche pourrait être utile, il semble que l’acidité de la sueur attaque un peu la lame. Mais tel quel c’est déjà un bel objet très réussi.
Tip top comme couteau de secours.
J’en ai pris un dans chaque taille. Je préfère l’autre modèle qui est un poil plus gros mais celui-ci va très bien aussi.
Système blocage lame rentrée et sortie pas top
Je l’ai rajouté à mon kit de secours pour le parapente à la place du coupe-suspente que j’avais auparavant, je trouve ça plus polyvalent.
Très bien, exactement ce que je cherchais depuis longtemps comme couteau de secours (très petit et très léger).
Parfait comme couteau de secours pour emmener en montagne.
