Description
The Chouka Aéro-Lexique T-shirt is a concentrate of humour and paragliding culture, straight from French launch sites.
Ideal as a gift for passionate paraglider pilots, or if you are tired of hearing your partner or your friends use incomprehensible expressions such as: “the wind dummy got off super easily, but I got flushed right after launch and had to land out without even making it to the landing field”.
The 4 illustrated expressions explained
- “Se faire dégueuler” (literally “to get puked on”)
Flying through a big thermal sink and losing height at the speed of a broken-down lift. Never a good moment. - “Un fusible” (literally “a fuse”)
The wind dummy: the one who takes off first to test the conditions. If it works, everyone follows! - “Se vacher” (from vache, “cow”)
Landing somewhere that is not an official paragliding landing field: a pasture, a field, a clearing, a stranger’s garden, a supermarket car park… - “Jeté de viande” (literally “meat throw”)
Launching into a dubious glide or a committing take-off such as a cliff launch, with a real risk of ending up with your feet in the fir trees and the wing over your head!
