protruding past the nut should be identical on each side.<\/li>\n<li>Tighten just enough to prevent slipping: do not crush the riser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Safety<\/h3>\n<p>Rear-riser control handles are intended for experienced pilots or those trained in this piloting technique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Checks at installation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Correct but not excessive tightening (5 N.m).<\/li>\n<li>Even tightening between the two screws.<\/li>\n<li>Risers must only be in contact with the soft pads.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional pre-flight checks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No line trapped.<\/li>\n<li>Handles securely fastened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspection every 100 flight hours or once a year: check the condition of the risers.<\/li>\n<li>For long-term storage: slightly loosen the screws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Rear-riser flying<\/h3>\n<p>Rear-riser flying replaces brake use in order to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain control of the airfoil under speedbar.<\/li>\n<li>Optimize transitions and glides.<\/li>\n<li>Improve cross-country performance.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce drag when accelerated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In turbulent conditions it is mainly aimed at experienced pilots, but it is recommended to progressively get familiar with this technique early in your
